Due to the holiday and Spring Break being next week - the meeting for Tuesday, April 2 has been postponed.  The new meeting date will most likely be on Tuesday, April 9 at 6:30pm at the Kirby.  This new date needs to be confirmed, so check back here or look for an email about the new meeting date.

Members of the Art Guild and the public are invited to join in sketching from a live model.  

Our clothed model will pose, sitting or standing in position for up to 10 minutes per pose as we increase our skill in drawing the human figure.  

We will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Burrass house, which is owned by St. Mark's Episcopal Church and is located on the other side of the parking lot next to the church.  St. Mark's is located at 422 N Main St, Roxboro, NC 27573

The next 2 sessions are Tuesday, March 19

& Tuesday, March 26 from 6 pm - 8 pm 

The classes will be held the 3rd & 4th Tuesday of each month.  All who are interested are welcome. 

A series of acrylic painting workshops to be held at the Kirby complex:

Chrystal Hardt will be leading a series of acrylic painting workshops to be held at the Kirby complex on four consecutive Saturdays beginning at 10 a.m. on March 2.

  There is no charge for attendance.  Those interested are encouraged to register early by calling 599-8587.

Participants will need to provide painting materials with them or purchase them from the instructor for a $10.00 fee.

This series is supported by the Person County Arts Council through the North Carolina Arts Council grass roots program.

Member Don Marlowe will be teaching watercolor painting at PCC on Wednesday, March 20 and Friday, March 22 from 5:30 to 9:30. The two meeting class will cost $45 and includes all supplies.  For more information, contact Don Marlowe at donrmarlowe@yahoo.com or by calling him at 336-599-4590.

The Arts Council of Carteret County invites artists to participate in ARTrageous Art Show on Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19,2013.  Jury fee is $15 and booth space (10'X10') is $50 for ACCC members and $75 for non members.  The show will be held in collaboration with the Crystal Coast Boat Show which will have in water and on ground boats.
